John Powers - Broker

With over fifteen years of experience, John began his career as part of the number one independent brokerage in Orange County, quickly demonstrating a tenacious ambition in the industry. He went on to help form OC Realty & Associates and build businesses within Sotheby’s International in Southern California until landing at Keller Williams in 2008. Drawn by the principles, leadership and training opportunities but missing the Pacific Northwest lifestyle, John decided to make a move back to his hometown of Portland, OR where he began working at the Keller Williams Portland West office. Consistently pursuing partnerships with the top-rated leaders in the industry, John’s drive to perform at the highest level became increasingly evident with each step forward. With a mission to create a hyper service-centric team offering unparalleled client experiences, Thrive Realty Group came to life. Born on standards of integrity, honesty, education and a consultative approach that empowers clients to make the right decisions, John holds himself and his team members accountable to providing unrivaled service without fail. Handling each client with a willingness to listen and be honest in every circumstance, a proactive attitude about both properties and processes and a well-honed sense of humor, John has built a reputation for making an impact with his customers and in his community. An Ambassador Board Member and Chemo Pal Mentor for Children’s Cancer Association, he is passionate about creating life wealth for others, whether it be in real estate, quality time or personal support. Always one to take action, John aspires to extend his expertise into creating charity resources to meet housing needs for families affected by serious childhood illness. An avid outdoorsman and food enthusiast, Portland is not simply a place he conducts business, but a community where he enjoys dining, camping, fishing, and exploring with his four-legged best friend Bodhi; a community he strives to improve with each conversation, each relationship and each new set of keys.
